Open research
Right from the establishment of Maryland Publishing and Research Institute Inc, our potential articles shall be open access which means that they will be freely accessible to all authors and readers globally, and licensed for reuse by the public. As well as being published on the MPRI website, author’s research in time to come will be available on notable full-text repositories such as Google Scholar, Medline, SpringerLink, PubMed Central, Scopus and others, with journals indexed in these repositories as early as possible. MPRI shall support deposition of raw data in open data repositories. Read our open data policy.
MPRI authors retain the copyright to their work. However, by licensing such research under the Creative Commons Attribution License, author’s articles can be re-used and re-distributed with no limitation whatsoever, in as much as the main research is adequately cited.
Speed
MPRI shall offer quick publication while we provide thorough peer review to uphold the integrity of information. Our times from submission to first decision vary depending on the journal, but in the majority of MPRI journals, once your content is accepted it will be published online shortly afterwards. In a few cases, the content may be held for particular reasons for a short period of time. As your article will be open access, it will be immediately and freely available and reusable with no limitation.
Quality
The MPRI journals are committed to the highest ethical standards in our peer review process. The MPRI Editorial Board of each title determines their peer review policy, while maintaining a high ethical standard. Editorial and peer review policies are available in the “Submission Guidelines” on each journal’s website. The editors of all our journals are supported by our in-house Research Integrity Group who advises on policy, decision-making, plagiarism and ethics to ensure that our decisions are fair and transparent.
Impact
The impact and influence our journal titles would have over time would be something that we shall be proud of, from citations to social media shares; from enhancing discovery within individual disciplines to affecting open discourse and policy making.
Visibility
The Editorial Board of MPRI journals shall be committed to promoting author’s research as extensively as possible and provide as much visibility and exposure for your articles as possible. The MPRI team is a dedicated press team who liaise with international media to highlight research of interest to the public and science media, frequently leading to widespread coverage in the press. Our team also ensure your research is easy to find and cite, making your ideas and knowledge accessible to other researchers, communities and institutions globally.
Publication Charges
Do I have any publication charges to pay?
Most of our publications attract costs for the author. However, there may be an exception for some articles:

How do I pay for any applicable publication charges?
You can pay securely on the Credit Card Processing site using credit or debit card. Access the Credit Card Processing site via the link sent to you when your manuscript was received via MPRI Correspondence emails. You may also request for payment to be made through money transfer such as Western Union, Money Gram or any other method. In such situation, please send an email to admin@mprijournals.com or support@mprijournals.com.
Can you send me an invoice?
We can raise you or your institution an invoice on the Credit Card Processing site. Invoices will be sent to your registered email address once generated. You can add PO and VAT numbers to your invoice if needed. You can also request that we send your invoice to somebody else by adding or changing the address details. Please note we are unable to raise pro forma invoices or receive payment in currencies other than the currency shown on your invoice except in cases of extreme hardship.
Can I still pay by card if I selected to raise an invoice?
Yes, if you select to raise an invoice but would like to pay by credit or debit card you can speak to our Customer Services team to pay over the phone.
Can you send me a receipt?
Yes, once payment is received online you will receive a receipt.
Can I get my charges waived?
If the journal you are publishing in is fully Open Access and your country is listed on our developing countries list your publication charges will be waived. Other reasons for applying for a waiver should be directed to the Editor of the journal, please see the Editorial Board page of the relevant journal.
Can I order copies of my article?
After publication, the corresponding author will be sent a free-access link to the article. The link can be shared with co-authors and colleagues, and posted on the authors’ personal or institutional webpages. You can order print copies of the journal issue at any time via printcopy@mprijournals.com at a 50% discount.
